The case for sleek web design

Most people EXPECT a website to load quickly, display properly on their phone and be designed well. And if you’re not meeting those needs they will find what they want elsewhere.

I recently worked with a local Charlottesville Bridal company to help them update the design of their website. While their SEO was high their site design was stuck in the early aughts which was impacting the amount of time people spent on the site and their bounce rate. More importantly they knew that updating the design of their website would serve as a point of reassurance for their customers.

We created a fresh new site through Squarespace that was user friendly, showcased their beautiful bridal gowns, and pushed website visitors to take action which is booking an appointment in their case.

Within a matter of days we saw dramatic results and after the first month bounce rate decreased by 16%, the amount of time people spent on the site increased by 7%, and website visitors increased by 17%.

Beyond improving the bounce rate and site engagement we were actually able to get more site visitors to the new site! Proving that a better looking site really does matter.
