Engagement Rate Up for Hairsmith and Co.

Happy Friday! As we head into the weekend I want you to think about the impact of your efforts on social media. Do your social media pages create engagement? Do they convert strangers into customers?

One way to gauge the effectiveness of your organic social media is through Engagement rate. Engagement rate is a formula that measures the amount of interaction social content earns relative to reach or other audience figures. This can include reactions, likes, comments, shares, saves, direct messages, mentions, click-throughs, and more (depending on the social network).

I like to use the Engagement rate by posts (ER post) calculation. In this case, you should add up the number of interactions on a post divide it by the total number of followers on your platform, and multiply that number by 100. If you'd like to benchmark your overall performance, you should add up the engagement rate of your most recent content and divide it by the number of posts. The median engagement rate across all industries is 1.92%.

Since working with HairSmith and Co. their engagement rate has hit 2.48%, which is more than double the average engagement rate in the beauty industry (at 0.68%)!

If you'd like to see your engagement rate increase, let's schedule a meeting!
