You might be thinking influencer marketing is for big brands and won't work for your small biz. But if you find the right micro influencers you can see growth in your revenue, web traffic and social following.

Influencer marketing is a form of social media marketing that uses product mentions and endorsements from influencers. Influencers are people who have a large and engaged social following and are viewed as experts within their niche.

Influencers' audiences trust them when it comes to product recommendations, services, books, you name it! This is the digital version of word of mouth marketing.

So how can small brands collaborate with influencers to make more sales?

Collaborate with influencers to create content. When I was working with Brooklyn Bicycle Co. we partnered with several influencers to add content to our blog and social media. We would send them our product and receive photos and copy in return, and grew our social following as a result!

Create a partnership with influencers to promote your products. When you've found a few influencers who resonate with your biz you can approach them to promote your products. You'll want to give them a discount code to measure how many sales they generate. And you'll send them free products and negotiate payment which can be commission based or a flat rate up front.
